All of our activities in Thailand focus on stimulating the development process on a local level. By placing international volunteers in small communities, we actively engage with and learn about their culture. Besides contributing to local community projects, we aim to promote an environmentally friendly, open-minded and sustainable way of life.
Week 1: Orientation Week: You will start your program with a culture and introduction week. Our introduction week is the first step towards a successful stay in Thailand! It is dedicated to learning about Thailand and meeting other volunteers. During this time you will also participate in the following activities: learn about the Thai culture, Thai language and cooking lessons, visit Wat Phra Non Jaksi Worovihan temple (famous for containing one of the largest indoor reclining Buddha statues), the ancient capital of Ayutthaya, have monkeys jumping on your head in Lopburi and much more.
Week 2 onwards: Volunteer as a teacher in a school, build clay houses and help with community construction projects, Immerse yourself into life in a Thai hill tribe, help out with conservation in a fishing village, or spend time in an elephant sanctuary volunteering in care taking tasks. The focus of these projects varies and changes depending on the needs at the time.
The camp consists of an eating area, a kitchen, a house with six rooms and showers in Thai style. Participants will share a room with other volunteers from the same gender.
