The Program

Your volunteer projects as well as language classes are based in Cordoba, a main city located in the centre of the country. The school organizes activities and excursions such as soccer, trekking, horse riding, sailing, movies, visit museums, music festivals… Possible projects are working with children and teenagers in an orphanage, helping in a hospital, in libraries, young adults’ shelter or working on the environment. Participants must be between 18 and 65 years old.

The standard program is a four weeks language course and four weeks volunteer placement (eight weeks total). Housing is provided and this program is available all year round. Shorter programs are available for advanced Spanish level students.

The Place

Córdoba is Argentina’s second largest city and is a university town, with about 1.3 million inhabitants. It is a naturally beautiful area with valleys, mountains, rivers and lakes. The local population is friendly and you can easily discover the culture culture (music, theatres festivals, craft fairs…).

Departure and Duration

Start dates: Every Monday. If Monday is a holiday the classes start on Tuesday.

• 4 weeks: Homestay half board - classes 20 hours/week (4hours/day) in the
morning + volunteering in the afternoon. Only for advances students
• 6 weeks: Homestay half board 6 weeks - classes 20 hours/week during 4 weeks + 2 weeks volunteering
• 8 weeks: Homestay half board 8 weeks - classes 20 hours/week 4 weeks + 4
weeks volunteering
• 12 weeks: Homesaty half board 12 weeks - classes 20 hours/week 4 weeks + 8
weeks volunteering
• 16 weeks: Homestay half board 16 weeks - classes 20 hours/week 4 weeks + 12
weeks volunteering
• 20 weeks: Homestay half board 20 weeks- classes 20 hours/week 4 weeks + 16
weeks volunteering
• 24 weeks: Homestay half board 24 weeks- classes 20 hours/week 4 weeks + 20
weeks voluntering

Advanced Spanish speakers, you can choose a shorter program of between four to seven weeks.

Accommodation

You will have a private room in a host family and most of the houses are located within walking distance from the school. Sometimes, host families accommodate more than one participant.

Financial Conditions

Included:

Transfer upon arrival, administration fees in home country and in Argentina, books and class materials, language course and volunteer project, accommodation with a host family, meals (half-board), local assistance.

Not included:

Airfare, visa fees, travel and Health insurance (mandatory), activities organised by the school, departure transfer, pocket money
