The Program

The work and travel program offers qualified participants the opportunity to take paid work in the USA for a period of up to four months during their summer university break, and up to a year in a new pilot program. The programs provide opportunities for exchange of ideas, culture and lifestyle while earning an income and travelling. Participants can work anywhere and in any type of job – eg. in amusement parks, resorts, hotels, ski lodges, casinos, restaurants…

Program Options:

• Summer program – self placement or prearranged employment through our partner before arrival
• Year program – prearranged through our partner or self placement before or after arrival

Requirements

• Between 18 – 30 years old
• Registered as a full-time student at university or TAFE for summer program
• Have a pre-arranged job and a minimum of US$750 for the summer program
• Be a post-secondary student or recent graduate for a year program
• Provide proof of sufficient financial resources prior arrival to the country for twelve months program

Suitability

• Responsible, honest and mature
• Genuinely interested in learning about the American culture

Departure and duration

It is possible to do the work and travel program from four months or a year and it is available all year-round.

Accommodation

Our partner provides assistance in locating an apartment or alternative boarding. All living expenses will be your responsibility (rental cost, monthly utilities, furniture…)

Included: 24 hour free emergency phone number, health insurance for the duration of the program, program orientation on arrival, housing assistance, employment assistance, participant handbook, ongoing supervision and support

Not included: Airfares, visa fees, airport transfers, living expenses
