The Program

After one, four or eight weeks of intensive Spanish private lessons of approximately 20 hours per week, you will begin your volunteer project. Everything will have been organised before your arrival according to your interests and availabilities. You will be able to help in orphanages, schools, libraries, local branches of an international NGO, projects of native plant rehabilitation. In order to complete a successful program you must be able to show a lot of flexibility and humility. The purpose of volunteering is to give something to others without asking for anything in return except the satisfaction of having accomplished an important mission…fighting indifference. Participants must be 18+.

Accommodation

You live with a local family (meals provided in the morning and evening). This is a unique opportunity to discover the culture and the country first hand.

Start dates

The program is available to start throughout the year.

If you have little or no experience with the Spanish language:

8 to 24 weeks (consisting of 4 weeks of lessons and 4 to 20 weeks of community based project).

If you have a good command of the Spanish language:

4 to 24 weeks of community based project (without language classes).

Financial conditions

Included: 4 weeks of lessons (as described earlier if undertaking a program with language course), airport transfer to placement, travel and health insurance, assistance with placement in community based project, meals and board, administrative costs of WEP and the local organisation, local assistance.
Not-included: Return flight, local transport, personal expenses, passport costs, costs associated with leaving the country within the 12 week visa period in order to obtain another visa.
